Film Faced Birch Plywood is a high-quality plywood covered with resin-treated paper that turns into a protective film during production. Because of this, the surface is resistant to water, wear, chemicals, fungi and mold. Unlike regular plywood, Film Faced Plywood is durable against concrete and as such is widely used in panel formwork. Film faced plywood comes with a smooth or a mesh surface. Edges are sealed with water-dispersible acrylic paint. Widely used in construction industry and vehicle production. Easy to mount and work with.
White melamine birch plywood is a versatile alternative to MFC and MF MDF, as it can be CNC machined and does not require lipping or edge banding. White melamine faced birch plywood is ideal for furniture and shelving systems. The edges can be easily worked and finished to highlight the high-quality natural birch core.
The main commercial or utility grade – both faces are Grade BB – which allows patches and other knots/ imperfections. Suitable for all general work including CNC Machining or where face grade not overly important – However good quality BB grade boards may be acceptable for clear finishing and furniture! Available in Long or Cross grain construction.
S Face is similar to Grade B, but allows more natural defects and the odd well-made patch – Generally good enough quality face for clear finishing or painting. S+/BB has a better face with no plugs. The reverse is a standard BB Grade.
